Ancient Moche Zoomorphic Owl Stirrup Vessel from

In Moche folklore the owl represented the spirits of the dead, wisdom, vision and the moon. This fabulous ceramic stirrup vessel depicting a zoomorphic Owl head is in exquisite condition. Wonderfully painted in white with red accent to illustrate the feathers.
