Moche Greyware Stirrup Head
Vessel from Peru
This extremely large
greyware vessel from Peru is
in a remarkable state of
preservation albeit some
minor surface abrasions and
deposits. There is a small
ship to the mouth of the
vessel.
This well formed Moche
warrior has a band around
his head, nose ring,
earrings and a beaded
necklace. The nose on this
warrior is very
characteristic of the
Indigenous people of Peru.
One of the largest stirrup
vessels I have come across
in a while and would make an
excellent addition to any
collection.
Height: 12 inches.
Circa
400-700 A.D.
CONDITION: Superb

$599.00 (SOLD)
