Ancient Apulian Salt-Cellar ca. 350 B.C.
The highly metallic black and glass like glazed surface of this vessel makes for an extraordinary example of fine Greek black-glazed pottery. This small gem likely served for both votive and daily use. This Salt Cellar has a small almost unnoticeable hairline stress fracture, which can only be seen upon close examination, otherwise intact and wonderfully preserved. Diameter: 2 ¾ inches Height: 1 ¾ inches.
