Ancient Egyptian Papyrus Scepter
This Ancient Egyptian Papyrus Scepter is composed of a turquoise glazed faience. It is in extraordinary condition with crisp lines/detail and colour. Pierced through for suspension and could possibly be worn by the real enthusiast.

Papyrus grew over much of Egypt although mainly in the rich wet Delta land of Northern Egypt. As a symbol it represented the “world rising from the primeval mound”, therefore used

symbolically in the columns. The papyrus scepter was often used by Hathor or Het-Het and Bastet, and was commonly seen with the Old Kingdom Wadjet. It was presented to the gods and and often worn by the deceased.
